The Tao of Warriorship

Focusing on Body, Mind and Spirit

Greetings, and welcome to my web sight. The purpose of this site is to share wisdom of the warrior lifestyle. I will also share things that are also important to me, or that I feel you may like. I hope some of the things here will help you along your path. - Alain

Shibumi is a Japanese word describing simple elegance, an aura of quiet perfection. Shibumi is austere. It never appears busy or embellished. The smooth curve of a Japanese sword is shibumi, but a gold-plated, pearl-handled pistol is merely garish. Warriors pursue shibumi , and with that, I want this site to be simple with good content.

If you think that makes this site boring, you need to remember that real warriors are amused and a little disgusted with the foolish antics and flashy colors and emblems of many modern martial artists. The traditional stylist outshines them all in a plain, unadorned uniform bound by a simple, ragged belt. That is shibumi.

This site is new, and I'll be adding to it continuously to provide more information on the way of the warrior: Body, Mind, and Spirit. Please visit again.
