As Time Goes By was the last episode before remarkable 2 1/2 hour,
" Goodbye Farewell & Amen ". For those that don't rermember As Time Goes By was the episode were the members of the 4077th buries a time capsule. Hoping that one day when its opened people will remember the 4077th and the people that used to dwell there.
To me, I belive that Goodbe Farewell and Amen was a goodbye show for the audience and that As Time Goes By was a memorial to all those who have worked on M*A*S*H those eleven seasons. I belive this because it made us remember for the last time on the the air those of our beloved MASH TV family. But it didn't make a refrence to a somewhat forgotten charator. Trapper.
I would have contrabuted the ukalally, for all the music they listen to get them through the Hell.
Its always been reported that there is a time capsule buried somewhere in 20th Century Fox studio or the Fox Ranch in Malibu State Park filled with script memorbilia in it. I belive there has been a time capsule, called Television. Thanks to the use of the Re-runs and the help from old and young devoted fans we can remember the people and all they stood for, at the 4077th for a long time to come
Goodbye Farewell Amen may have been the last to be seen by this episode was the last to be shot. So tears really fell when producer Burt Melchefe, producer, said thats a rap for the last time. Every motion seem to be slow motion as hundreds of camera went off taking pictures.
