The Dragon


Foreward, Conventions, & Tips

The dragon is a compound figure and requires two dragon bases.

Front Half

Instructions for the Dragon (Front Half):

1) Begin with a dragon base and fold the leg flaps as shown for each side.

2) Invert inside fold along the line as shown.

3) Cut along the two dashed lines as shown.

4) Fold the head down as shown. Your figure should look as it appears in Figure 5.

5) Fold and tuck the end of the nose into the head. Your figure should appear as it does in Figure 6.

6) Invert inside fold the legs along the line as shown. Fold the "flames from the nose" so that they are point back.

7) Tuck the rear point inside the body as shown to complete the front half of the dragon.



Back Half

Instructions for the Dragon (Back Half)

1) Begin with a dragon base and fold the leg flaps as shown for each side.

2) Mountain fold along the line shown. Repeat for the other side.

3) Invert inside fold along the lines shown.

4) The figure should appear as it does in Figure 4.

5) Invert inside fold along the lines as shown to form the legs.

6) The back half of the dragon is now complete.

Glue the two halves together to complete the dragon.
