About Our Group

The Asian Pacific Alliance of New York (APANY) is a social, cultural and friendship, non-profit organization for all Asians/Pacific Islanders (APIs), and their non-API friends. It's goal is to provide fun activities and a safe haven for friendly interaction and support among all Asians and Pacific Islanders with alternative lifestyle, as well as their non-Asians friends. It was founded in 1996.

Although mainly male, all APA-NY events are open to everyone.

APANY is a prestigious, and culturally- and friendship-focused social organization. APANY is not officially affiliated with any national or international umbrella group. The existence of such groups like APANY help improve the quality of life for the gay Asians and Pacific Islanders in the community and those of their non-Asian friends.
