First observe that the waters were gathered together unto "one place"(Gen.1:9p) and the dry land appeared and was called "Earth"(Gen.1:10p). Although not stated there, we understand that the earth was also in one place also, separate from the waters.
"AND the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech." [Gen.11:1]
The account in Genesis 11 includes the so-called tower of Babel incident and the dividing of the tongues, from the one (whole) language, into separate tongues/languages. (74 names in Gen.10)
"...and let us make US A name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth." (Gen.11:4p) "...and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth." (Gen.11:9p)
Peleg's "days" were 30 years, before he begat a son called Reu, and after that lived another 209 years, for a total of 239 years.
Figuring a calendar forward from Adam (A.A. - Anno Adam), we find that Peleg was born in 1757 A.A., and had a son in 1787 A.A.(approx.) By the same calendar, the flood would have been from 1656 to 1657, so you see why I said "a hundred or so years after the flood."
Interestingly enough, the year 1776A.A. is within that range, and on the back of a ONE-dollar bill is a picture of an incomplete pyramid with 1776 [MDCCLXXVI] as the date on the bottom layer of 13 layers. The dividing of the tongues occurred in the days of Nimrod (13th generation).
Realizing that your mind may be rebelling against associating the pyramid symbol with Gen.10-11, consider that Peleg, in his 20th year, would have been just coming of age in that same time frame. Several places in the Bible, the number 13 is associated with rebellion, and 1776 A.D. was a rebellion of 13 UNITED States against England.
Oh well, anyway, the only thing men learn from history is that men never learn from history. (Babel was in what today is called IRAQ.) Peleg died in 1996 A.A. (The "new world order" will be US-A, United Sinners at Armaggedon.)
