Complain!

Below are the addresses and contact numbers for the Spanish Authorities you should complain to.

They take all the complaints they receive seriously and past complainants have had their contracts cancelled.

Write a simple letter including:

• The details of the form you received and signed.
• If you feel that the form you signed was deliberately unclear, write this!
• If you tried to cancel your order with ECG then mention this.
• Explain how and when you have received demands for payment from ECG, including any threats of legal action.
• Give the name and address of any "debt collectors" who may have written to you.
• If you still have them, send copies of all letters you have received and that you have sent.
• Ask for European City Guide to be investigated for fraudulent activities.

Other people to write to:

Write to European City Guide to tell them you have lodged a formal complaint with the Spanish authorities, and will not respond to their letters until your complaint is processed and Investigations into ECG completed. (Do not tell them this unless you have actually made a complaint.)

Write to your MP (Member of Parliament) and/or your MEP (European MP) and inform them of this European-wide problem, and make a complaint to them as well. Point out that ECG seems to be running a scheme designed to defraud, and their product (catalogue and web site) useful to no one. More information.
