It is our conclusion at ACTION AGAINST
EUROPEAN CITY GUIDE, who have had over 22 000 internet visitors and
hundreds of emails, that the European Union, through the European
Parliament, is acting as if they are impotent against
European-wide crime. A fraudulent company like European City Guide will
always be one step ahead of any action against it, because every MEP in
the EU who has tried to raise attention about the ECG comes up against
the same problem: "It is a national problem and must be dealt with on a
national level."
How pathetic is that? ECG is a Europe-wide problem, the people behind
it evade national laws by moving around and hiding behind the vagaries
of cross-European legislation. After a decade of "national"
action against ECG they are still going strong! ECG are still being
allowed to con small companies in every European country, and bully
them into paying money after tricking them into signing deliberately
misleading advertising material. It is in fact a disgrace that
after so many years of fraud, and the ECG making themselves very rich
on innocent individuals, the European Union has not managed to clamp
down on such international activities
and close this company down. It makes you wonder. If this kind of
measly, cowardly behaviour by ECG is allowed to carry on, across over
20 countries in Europe, what good is European Cooperation?
There are individuals at ECG--not so many of them--who are making
millions from this fraud. And they must be laughing, because European
cross-cooperation is pathetic enough to allow them more or less free
access to new markets and continued deliberate misleading of
honest working people from Norway to Spain, the UK and Germany, to
Bulgaria and Ireland and every country in between.
MEMBERS OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT MUST REALISE THAT THIS IS NOT
SOMETHING THAT CAN BE DEALT WITH "ON A NATIONAL LEVEL" -- WE NEED
EUROPE-WIDE RULINGS! HOW MANY YEARS SHALL ECG BE ALLOWED TO CON PEOPLE?
The "national level" is not adequate, national politicians know this is
a Europe-wide problem.
When will the European Parliament realise this?

PS: There are several individual MEPs who are concerned about this
fraud, and who have tried to move matters forward to restrict companies
like ECG. It is not easy for them, however. One who does more than most
is MEP Richard Corbett. He regularly updates his website with news
about ECG. Take
a look here.
