ACTION AGAINST EUROPEAN CITY GUIDE

European City Guide are demanding money from thousands of small businesses thoughout Europe for advertisements they did not want and which are useless.

We believe that all of the companies shown in the guide were cheated into signing the form, just like us.

If you are one of their victims read on - we were too...along with thousands of others.

THE ORDER FORMS USED BY THE EUROPEAN CITY GUIDE HAVE IN THE PAST BEEN JUDGED TO BE MISLEADING AND THEREFORE  NOT LEGALLY BINDING.

ECG MAY ALSO BE FALSIFYING THEIR "CONTRACTS" (see below).

If you feel you have been mislead; 

  • DO NOT PAY!

  • DO NOT BE INTIMIDATED

  • WRITE NOW and COMPLAIN to the relevant authorities in Spain, and demand your contract be cancelled. Write to your MEP and MP and ask them what they can do.

(Nov. 2007) IT SEEMS THAT ECG MAY BE FORGING THEIR CONTRACTS.
It has come to our attention from several quarters that there is a very strong possibility that ECG are actually altering signed, innocent-looking forms by RETROSPECTIVELY superimposing print that make them into a signed "contract" mentioning fees that were not present in the original signed document. Our information indicates that "customers" should not assume the photocopy they may get from ECG is in fact what they signed!
   Unfortunately it makes little difference to ECG's victims, as the absence of international, cross-border legislation makes it no easier to report them to any central authority.  However, it may mean that the people behind the scam could face more serious charges of deception, fraud and falsification of contracts at some point in the future.

We have never heard that ECG has actually dared to take anyone to court, which no doubt would put their activities under legal scrutiny. So, don't be bullied. Don't pay!
