Comments: There is a bug in GM that will not save your files correctly. Sometimes, you will get an error message that says: Stop at line 48 You cannot use DEF DISPOSEH on a resource handle (with Stop and Continue buttons) DO NOT CLICK CONTINUE! Click Stop. GM will quit. Open your game again and save. If the error doesn't appear, that's great, but if it appears again, follow the steps above. Of course, the best thing to do is just wait until a patch for GM comes out. I emailed Al about it.

Comments: GameMaker 3.2.3 is very great! But I continue to use 3.1.1 for my projects. Why? In 3.2.1, "DEF DISPOSE" error is unworkable with. In 3.2.2, and 3.2.3, imagefile shows  Repetitively! I suggest to have two differents commands: one who shows  Repetitively, and another like in 3.1.1.

You might not remember me(most of you don't) but I made some REALLY BAD games, and made some posts on the message boards that got a lot of responses. You can find my games under Reece1705. I actually did get pretty far in a lot of somewhat tolerable games that I made, but all of them have dissapeared due to my computer being down(since Feb. 2000). But, it's back up and running now and I will order a new copy of gamemaker sometime in the near future. Also, Matt(you know who you are Matt!), I have a new sn. It's Metallica539(or still Airgoku554, or Airgoku55 or even metallica4ever09), so contact me because I know where we can put our site up.

In answer to your question, you can email me at the above address for information. For tutorials, try http://www.silvernetwork.net/~gmg/ . It has a couple of sections, Dev Resources and Articles & Columns that might help you out. Also, read the GameMaker documentation very, very thoroughly and try to make something simple. I may be posting a GameMaker Beginner's Tutorial there soon, actually. But whatever you do, don't go on the message boards saying "well how do i make my game" or you will be ridiculed. I assume you've already got the full version of GameMaker, a demo, or the Lite version. If not, GO GET THEM on Al's GameMaker page.

Comments: Hey Reece, I already have the new PSW site up. It's at the new address in the web page above. It sucks, because this can only hold 50 megs, unlike xoom/nbci, which was unlimited. Oh well. Anyway, I'm working on a CD Organizer, using the USERASK commands. There's just one bug I think may need to be fixed before I can get it to work right. BTW, if anyone's wondering, the reason I haven't been working on GM games, is because I've actually been working on writing FAQs for games. I'm going to try and work on both, now.

Comments: I am working part time at an Apple dealer and have learnt more than enough about plists and java and other prototype stuff you wouldn't believe if i told you. I have made a cool program that will let you add custom 3d models, animated gifs, load applications, go to a url on the net, go to the next level. You can also add flash objects (.swf , .swl, .fla) and embed html documents, javascript, vbscripts or anyother type of supported scripot (working on the java). As well as all this, you have unlimited frames, and creating applications is easy and free with your own icon maker (or use ours). Once you have this done, all you have to do is look at what you've done (in mac os x format.) With this, you can easily make a first person shooter, an rpg or a system extention (why, why). If you want this hot software, i will post another message soon. Thanx for you guys support.

Comments: To anyone who posts about bugs in my software: I can't fix bugs unless you actually tell me what kind of bug you see. Simply saying there are bugs doesn't help me. I just found out today that clicking certain buttons in one of my programs causes a crash on some systems, yet it's been happening for several years. It works on my system, so there's no way I could know it doesn't work on yours. Why hasn't anyone told me!? If you're going to email me or post here to tell me there's a bug, doesn't it make sense to tell me what the bug is?

Comments: Mr. Staffieri, I'm a Japanese living in Hokkaido Island. A few years ago I got your HANGMAN from a CD-ROM which was released by a Mac magazine in Japan. I installed it in my old LC630 and enjoyed it so much. I changed my old machine to a PowerPC Performa, then finally and just recently to a G3 that I bought from Yahoo! Japan's auction (which is much more popular than eBay here in Japan). The first thing which came to me after setting OS was to get back the old HANGMAN. I played it again for the first time in these years. Yes, my memory was correct: HANGMAN is very interesting and even effective in studying English! So, I read the attached document and found your web page's address, then I visited here. Soon, I found that the newer version had been released. I also found that there is another version for OS 8.6 or later; now I'm getting OS 8.6 (just recently I won a used one from the auction), so I'm gonna try the newer version. What I'd like to say is that your HANGMAN is very helpful for English learners. I'm afraid of confessing but, to tell the truth, I'm a part time English instructor in Sapporo. I have a web page (where most of the sub-directories are written in Japanese, sorry) and I would like to introduce this excellent soft to people and students who visit my page, O.K.? Again, and actually, HANGMAN is so great! Another comment: you use the phrase "Life is good" when you show us your birthday's photo. The phrase reminds me of the American rock band STYX's song "Everythin Is Cool" (released in the "Brave New World" album in 1999). I've been a huge fan of STYX since I was a kid. P.S. my highest score is about 16000 points. What do you think of it? Well, I have to study English more. . . Anyway, thanks a lot for your great programming!
