Love and War Between The
Signs offers an astrological explanation
of the theories on which I based my book, Men
Are From Mars, Women Are from Venus. My
awareness of men and women both having Martian and Venusian
characteristics was directly influenced by my knowledge of
the ancient practice of astrology. This was a result of my
mother's intense interest in this subject. I knew that being
male or female was not the only contributing factor
determining one's needs and actions. I came to realize that
we have to take into consideration the effect of astrology
and the influence of all twelve signs.
Amy Keehn's exploration of
this issue with great insight and humor, provides us with
this fascinating look at astrological compatibility which
will help enlighten the world as to why chart influences play
such an important part in understanding a mate's innate
patterns of behavior. She delves into an issue that I have
often written about, that of role reversal, offering
suggestions as to how men and women can develop both sides of
their natures.
Amy looks at the problems
which ensue when people are unable to balance gender
energies; for example, men having too many planets in the
Martian signs of Air and Fire producing men who are
"Super Martians" in their approach to
relationships. Also discussed is the opposite imbalance of
women who have too many planets in the "Venusian
signs" of Water and Earth. There can be very real
problems which I have frequently referred to: caring too
much, doing too much, worrying too much about everyone but
themselves. Of course, there are those who have the good
fortune to be born with a balance of Martian and Venutian
qualities.
The essence of this thought
provoking book pertains to what I wrote about in "Men,
Women And Relationships," wherein I talked about the
"emotional person" judging an "analytical
person" as "too analytical," while the
"analytical person" judges the "emotional
person" as "too emotional." Amy offers the
astrological reasons for this difference in approach,
explaining how an individual having a more mental or more
emotional nature is determined by the element of their Sun
sign.
You will be intrigued by a
