Biography
Zeta-Jones gained attention in England when in 1991, she appeared in "The Darling Buds of May" which is a popular TV series on Yorkshire Television. As she gained prominance, she appeared in movie roles such Splitting Heirs and Christopher Columbus: The Discovery. Catherine got even more exposure with The Phantom with Billy Zane and the TV mini-series, Titanic.
One night, Steven Spielberg was watching TV and spotted her in the Titanic miniseries. He convinced Campbell, the director of "Mask of Zorro," to cast her as the role of Elena Montero. In 1999, Catherine will also be starring opposite Sean Connery in the film, Entrapment.
