INTRODUCTION

Welcome to the unofficial homepage of the Oceanic Steam Navigation Company, White Star Line.  This is a non-profit, family-friendly, educational site dedicated to perpetuating the memory of the great ships of White Star.  This is not a site devoted to re-activating the White Star Line nor to build another Titanic.  Here at the "Oceanic House" you will be able to find tidbits on the history, ships, and people who made White Star Line the company that it was.

White Star has an illustrious heritage stretching back to to the days of the Australian gold trade in 1845.  From its inception to its merger with the Cunard Line, White Star had always been in the forefront of seagoing luxury.

This site has grown tremedously since its debut on 27 November 1997, and I am currently in the process of giving this website a much needed drydocking as well as scouring for photos, with permission of course, to use on this site. If you've been here before, you'll know that this site is still in a conversion state where everything is moving around. As this site is ever-changing and ever-growing,  I ask that if you would like to bookmark this site, which I hope you do, that you bookmark the url <http://oceanichouse.cjb.net/>.

MISSION STATEMENT

  • To dedicate a website to the great ocean liners of the White Star Line.
  • To provide information to help others learn about the history of the White Star Line and its ships.
  • To provide a hub to other maritime, ocean liner, and Titanic sites on the web.

The menu bar on the left is for the ease of your navigation, and if you ever have any questions, comments, suggestions, or corrections you would like me to know, feel free to contact me.   Due to time constraints and a busy schedule, I might not be able to reply immediately.  If you don't recieve a reply within two weeks, please try again.

I hope that you will enjoy this site and stop by whenever you wish. Until then, bon voyage!
