Questor provides a full range of products and services including CMS applications, custom software development, consultation, client support and training. We currently have an open position for a Client Services Specialist. Responsibilities: Responsibilities include, answering support inquiries from clients, first line technical trouble-shooting, advising clients on application implementation and use and conducting client training and consultation projects. Position entails some travel. Qualifications: BA in art, art history, anthropology, archaeology, natural science, history, or a related field, plus museum or archive collections experience necessary. Expertise with Windows is essential. A strong candidate will have good organizational skills, be a self-starter and have a working knowledge of Questor's ARGUS CMS and related products. Experience using Crystal Reports or other report writing applications, understanding of relational database concepts and experience with digital imaging are a plus. Responsibilities: Working with the associate curator of acquisitions and exhibitions, the deputy director for programming, and guest curators, the registrar is primarily responsible for overseeing all aspects of registration, documentation, and collections management. Responsibilities include packing, shipping, insurance, loan forms, condition reports, inventory, database and records management, information requests, and conservation coordination. With the assistance of support staff, the registrar is also charged with exhibition installation, gallery preparation, and maintenance of the exhibition spaces. Qualifications: The successful candidate will have an in depth knowledge of accepted museum registration practices and procedures, an M.A. in museum studies or related fields, and one to three years registration experience. Computer, photographic and digital skills are important. The candidate must be able to work independently and within a dynamic, hardworking team, understand policy and procedure, and support the museum's mission and vision. Knowledge of ARGUS collection management system preferred. Normal work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. The National Museum seeks an Assistant Cataloger for the Hirasaki National Resource Center & Collections Unit. Responsibilities: The Assistant Cataloger will undertake the integrated cataloging of the National Museum’s diverse holdings of bibliographic and non-bibliographic materials (videorecordings, soundrecordings, etc.) in compliance with national standards and local guidelines. Cataloging efforts will initially focus on the National Museum’s diverse and extensive holdings in the Hirasaki National Resource Center. Maintain authority control and resolve cataloging problems. Qualifications: : Masters in Information and Library Studies from an ALA accredited institution, plus one year experience in related field required. Knowledge of and experience with AACR2r, LCSH, and LC Classification. Ability to multi-task and prioritize, work in a team environment, have excellent organizational skills and be detail oriented.
