The goal of our web pages is to demystify numerology.

Can we let you in on a little secret? Numerology is easy. Sure, there's a lot you can learn. And you can make it as complicated as you like. But anyone who follows numerology is a numerologist, including YOU! It's as simple as that. You don't have to sign up for numerology classes or join an organization. Not that there's anything wrong with some of the numerology classes or organizations you may come across. But to be a "serious" numerologist, you don't have to do anything special except to read as many books as you can on the subject.

Visit your local public library!

Do you have a decent public library near you? Terrific! Start by reading every book they have on numerology. And if they don't have a book on numerology you want? Ask nicely and they might just order it for you. However, don't be surprised that a lot of books may seem to contradict each other. Since anyone can be a numerologist, anyone can write about it. And there are as many variations to numerology as there are numerologists. For the most part, though, the basic elements of numerology remain the same. So read as many authors as you can and decide what works best for you. Who knows? Once you become an expert in the field, you might just come up with a few pet theories of your own. Then you will write your own numerology book and become famous. Hey, anything is possible!

Numerology Freeware, Shareware, and Commercial Programs!

If you haven't been there yet, check out our links to free numerology software. For the numerology hobbyist, these programs are great. And the best thing is that they are free. One very good program that analyzes name changes (including single versus married name) is called "By the Numbers." It is offered by Rosemary K. West. (For additional information see our free numerology software page.)

Occasionally, however, you might wish to dig into your pocket and spend a little money. There are some relatively inexpensive programs for the home hobbyist. Many of these numerology programs are offered on a "try-before-you-buy" or shareware basis. That is, you visit a site on the web and download a program. Then if you like it, you pay a fee for a permanent, fully-functional version that you can store on your computer. We love sampling these programs and reading all about ourselves!

Okay, we've mentioned some good programs for the numerology hobbyist. But what if you want to make a living by preparing numerology reports? Well, you can do this the old-fashioned way, using pen and paper. Or you might also wish to purchase commercial software which provides a license for you to sell computer-generated numerology reports. Or even computer-generated astrology reports. This is where it gets very expensive! You can easily pay several hundred dollars for such programs.

Why are they so expensive? Mainly because you are paying for the privilege of using them commercially, in your own numerology business. Less expensive versions of these same programs are available--but only for home use. So if you are interested in doing this for a living, our advice is to shop carefully. Pay particular attention to the terms of the license and any restrictions that are placed on you. For example, we know of some very popular (and expensive!) programs that put limitations on the number of people selling reports in any given geographic area. So read the fine print carefully. And by all means, compare prices. One site that we think is especially good and carries a number of commercial astrology and numerology programs at a discount is Awakenings, Inc. Our experience in ordering software from them was quite good! So their site might be a place to start:

Okay, you're now a numerologist! And perhaps you are so dazzled by the fancy title that you have special cards printed up to impress your friends. Why not? Like we said, anyone can be a numerologist. Okay, Mr. or Ms. Numerologist--what now? Although your public library can be an excellent source of information, you will probably want to have some books around your home that you may refer to from time to time. Adding to your personal collection of numerology books can be a life-long pursuit. And if you are thinking of becoming a professional numerologist? And charging money for your services? Then it's an investment that will eventually pay for itself.

Books that get a "Thumbs Up!" from our web visitors

(Click on any of the titles below for specific information.)

The Numerology KitThe Numerology Kit by Carol Adrienne: Ever hear of "The Celestine Prophecy" by James Redfield? Well, Ms. Adrienne is the coauthor of many books related to that series. As well as the author of other New Age books. We first heard her name several years ago in connection with a numerology program called "What's Your Destiny?" Unfortunately, this program no longer seems to be readily available. But you will probably find much of the same information in The Numerology Kit. And if the book is anything like the numerology program for which she wrote the text? Then it probably delves into "Karmic Numbers" which many find either fascinating or confusing, depending upon their viewpoint.

The Life You Were Born to LiveThe Life You Were Born to Live: A Guide to Finding Your Life Purpose by Dan Millman: Mr. Millman is the author of "The Way of the Peaceful Warrior" and other books which have become "must reads" in New Age circles. The Life You Were Born to Live provides a whole new slant on numerology. Will it contradict some of the basic information you have found on our site? Quite possibly. As we said, there are as many theories about numerology as there are numerologists. But this book has helped many. And Dan Millman fans will love it!

Additional Ideas of Concern to the Numerologist

Thinking of Changing Your Name? On our "Things People Ask About Numerology" page, we talk about the possible benefits and costs of changing your name. Not everyone can--or perhaps should--take numerology that seriously. But if it's something you are thinking of doing, here is a book that might help.

How to Legally Change Your Name Without a Lawyer : The National Legal Name Change Kit by Benji O. Anosike

Will Developing Your Intuition Make You a Better Numerologist? We believe that numerology has something very much in common with astrology, I Ching, tarot, etc. All of these magical arts are really just the "training wheels" on the bicycle of psychic development. At some point a funny thing happens to people who are reading the numerology charts of other people. Information may begin pouring out of you that has nothing to do with anything you have read in any numerology guides. Well, guess what? That's probably your God-given intuition starting to shine.Psychic Secrets cover and link. Why is this? Well, many people are instinctively drawn to topics like numerology because on some level they know they possess a healthy degree of ESP. Most people do! They just need time to work with it and gain confidence in their own abilities. That is why we suggest that you read books on psychic development--in addition to books on numerology. Your God-given intuition will come in very handy! If you are looking for a good book to help you make sense of your dreams, follow your hunches, and even connect with the other side, then we recommend "Psychic Secrets" (available now at Amazon.com). Of course, you might also wish to order books by John Edward, Sylvia Browne, George Anderson, and  James Van Praagh. The more you read, the more you will find that things start to click for you. And then you will really amaze your friends with your numerology reports!
