 rlk166@psu.edu (rachael) Hi, my name is rachael and i have watched the never ending stories on tv and heard it on the radio. The first time i heard anything about it was when i just came home from work and was holding my 6 month old son. The tv was on and i turned to the news and there it was. I cried for an hour while holding my son and saying i hope i never have to go through what those parents are going through right now. From being a parent i want to tell all those parents whose children died, that i am praying for them to help get over the grief and just remember their child or children. I could dry right now because i cannot imagine what it woulkd be like without my own son near me. Remember children are given to us from god and now they had to go back and be next to him. They are looking down at us now and probably telling themselves their parents will get better as time heals the heart. Those children never left their parents hearts, that is where they will live on forever. Do not suppress your feelings of pain Do not think they will just go away They will accumulate; they will cause more distress Haunting you, creeping upon you, separating you Letting them would mean that another soul has slipped away
Bring the community together as a whole Do not fight this alone, we are strong when united Concentrate on the valuable memories Not the harmful ones that bring this cloud upon us We can, and will heal; it just takes time
As one, sharing the memories of the past Remembering our loved ones Be strong; do not be afraid to cry The cloud is powerful and emotional As one, we will lift it and draw the light back into our lives
