Hi, I'm Betty. Welcome to my home on the web. Can't believe that it's fall already. Time does have a way of flying by without one's realizing it. If you've been here before, feel free to go straight to your area of interest. (You may have to refresh your browser to see the most current page). For those visiting for the first time, here's a bit of history. For my repeat visitors,
you may want to take a look at "What's New".
And now for my new visitors, a little bit of history: I joined AOL in March '97 and became so intrigued with the creativity exhibited at each site I visited, that I had to try my hand at creating my own web page. My original home page went "live" in March 98 and since that time has grown to over 500 pages. In March '99, I went live with my own domain, although I still use several screen names as well as my domain for my site.
What's New!
I discovered that changing my computer's desktop wallpaper was fun and I enjoy viewing different pictures at various times of the year especially around the holidays. However, downloading the free wallpapers you find on the internet pose severe risks to your computer so I've decided to create some of my own. Please note I've charged a nominal price based on the work that was put into the graphic, but when you download one of these, you won't be getting anything more than just the graphic. See my new wallpaper store. Go there: Betty's Desktop Wallpaper. Periodically I'll be also providing a link to some free desktop wallpaper. Look for the link.
For those of you who shop for Christmas all year long, why not try my holiday store at "CafePress". Here you'll find ornaments, holiday cards and more for friends, family and associates. Go there: Betty's Holiday Store.
While you're here, don't forget to visit Stormy's Web. Here you'll find a collection of tutorials, tips and tricks, and webmaster tools. Go there: Stormy's Web.
And last but not least -- at one time I wrote a newsletter at a former job and converted it to a web format called "For Coffeebreaks Only". It started out as a monthly project and went to once a quarter. As the result of wanting to pursue other interests, I dropped the segment five years ago. But effective immediately, I am announcing it's revival. The content changes every day so you'll want to add it to your Favorites. You'll find my latest web pursuit here: "For Coffeebreaks Only".
I created "Betty's Place" to include something for everyone. Several of these areas are updated every quarter, so there's always something new to see or do. Please feel free to stop by often and while you're here, please check out Affinity Park Mall! We'll soon be in the holiday shopping season and what better place to find your gifts than through my mall. Every purchase you make through Affinity Park helps support my sites. You'd also be helping me out in a big way as my employer went bankrupt this past October and I am still unfortunately unemployed. Even if you can't make a purchase, a click-through to a store or two will help me maintain my affiliate status and keep my mall alive. Your help with this is sincerely appreciated. Go there now. You can also click on one of the banners below if interested in a particular store. Should you click on one of the stores below, to get back to this page, all you have to do is click on the "x" in the right hand corner of the store page.
Or, there's Logic's Arcade, my Holiday segment or Puzzle Corner for your puzzling pleasure. Or if you're interested in designing your own site, I invite you to review my free web graphics collection at Logic's Graphics. You can also find "Logic's Graphics in the About.com directory, one of the two largest graphics search engines on the internet. I am most honored to have my site listed with them.
I have another site which began out of my interest for the Victorian period. It is titled "1876 Victorian England Revisited". Here you'll meet the Ashtons, a middle-class family who will teach you what it was like living in Victorian England in 1876. I also have a small boutique of items imprinted with the 1876 VER logo. If you have some time and would like to visit my shop, you can get there by clicking here.
