Shredded Beef Tacos
Shredded Beef Tacos 1 recipe Basic Border Beef
1 dozen large corn tortillas, or flour for ‘soft tacos'
oil for frying
If you are using corn tortillas, heat half an inch oil in a small skillet to medium high (about 365 degrees). Fry each tortilla for about 3 seconds a side. Blot with paper towels, fold to form a taco and keep in a warm oven. Repeat until all the tortillas are fried.
If you are using flour tortillas, either wrap in foil (6 in each piece of foil) and bake at 300 degrees for 15 minutes, or wrap 6 at a time in a damp dish towel (or strong paper towel) and microwave on high for 1 minute.
Fill with the BASIC BORDER BEEF. Have any combination of the following available to top your Shredded Beef Tacos; lettuce, chopped tomato, shredded cheese, salsa, taco sauce, guacamole, sour cream, fresh chopped cilantro and chopped green onions.
