Sign Guestbook!Tips for Improving Responses to Your Query:Start with your oldest ancestor. Include birth date and place, death date and place, who they married (including date and place), and where they lived in between. e.g. John "Smith" BARBEE (3 Sep 1838 Macon Co, TN - 20 Feb 1937 Caddo Co, OK) m. Lubina HENDERSON 10 Feb 1859 Allen Co, KY. They had 14 children: Then list the same information about all known children of the couple. You may continue if you want -- for example, the particular line you descend from. The further back you go in time, the more likely another Barbee researcher will recognize your line. Likewise, the more details you give about members of the earliest family (including children), the more likely we can distinguish one John Barbee (for example) from another. For the well documented William and Andrew Barbee lines, you don't need to provide as many details for the first 4 or so generations. Instead, start by listing your line of descent, e.g. William --> John --> Christopher --> Martha. Then provide details from there.
