- Depart from Henry Ave. &
Walnut Lane parking lot at 9:30 AM (Both Septa 32 bus from Center
City
and Septa 65 bus from 69th Street & Germantown areas both
stop at
Henry & Walnut). We will see Walnut Lane Bridge, Lover's
Leap,
Bluestone Bridge, Historic Rittenhouse Town, Mom Rinker's
Rock, "Toleration", Fingerspan, Livezy House, Devil's
Pool &
Shakespeare Rock. Wear sturdy footwear for rocky terrain. Bring
lunch

- Depart from G & R at 9:15 AM.
Suburban hikers may meet at Ply. Mtg. for departure at 9:45 AM.
We
will hike somewhere in Carbon County. Possible water crossings
and
some bushwhacking. Spring foliage and flowers should be appearing.

- PINNACLE AND PULPIT ROCK VIA "AT". 9-10 mile loop, moderate
pace. About 2000' gain overall. Near Hamburg, PA. Bring ground
cover
for lunch, Boots highly recommended for PA. rocks galore. Sticks
optional. Meet at Hamburg reservoir at 9:45 AM. Use Exit 35 from
I-78
(PA. Rt. 143 N) turning left on Mountain Road, then bearing right
at
the farm where the road curves left. Then turn Right at Reservoir
Road
to parking lot. Cost: $ 0.75. Sorry, no carpool offered. Leaders:

- NOCKAMIXON STATE PARK, BUCKS COUNTY
- Depart from the park
office on Route 563 at 9:45 AM. Many great views of the lake
on this
pleasant 8 mile hike through the woods and marshes in the early
spring. Contact leader prior to 6:00 PM Saturday evening if requesting

- For those using public transportation, take
the Septa 101 trolley from 69th St. to the Springfield Mall.
Meet
leader at this stop at 8:55 AM. For those driving, meet in front
of
Macy's in the front of the Springfield Mall at 9:00 AM, or at
the
Arboretum parking lot, 515 Painter Road in Media, at 9:20 AM.
A lovely
5 to 7 mile hike through Tyler's famous rhododendrons, atop open
fields, and along wooded streams. Bring a lunch and drink. Cost
$0.75
and $1.00 CTDTOE, plus a $5.00 arboretum entrance fee. Leader:

- MOONLIGHT HIKE, ANDORRA NATURAL AREA &
UPPER WISSAHICKON
Depart from Germantown & Northwestern Avenues at 7:00 PM.
Join us for
an evening hike in one of our familiar but favorite hiking spots.
The
views are beautiful from the wide-open fields. From the Andorra
area,
we will hike the upper trails along the Wissahickon and return
by the
carriage road. Rain Cancels. 5 miles. Cost: $0.75. Leader: Mike

- Depart from F & B at 11:00 AM
or meet at the starting point of the hike, Palmyra Cove Nature
Center
(on the NJ side of the Tacony-Palmyra Bridge) at 11:30AM. We
will hike
6 to 8 miles depending on the tide on the river at this relatively
new
park. We will also visit the Nature Center, which is brand new
and

Pennsylvania are offering hikes this weekend and next as part
of
KTA/DCNR Hiking Week. We are offering a lovely late spring hike
in the
woods, over the hills, and along the creek in this Delaware County
jewel. Be prepared for rocky trails. Bring plenty of water, good
boots, and lunch. 12 miles. As usual, no dues for this KTA/DCNR
week
