Die Kirche Wang-

This church sits in the Riesengebirge in Brückenberg, (now Bierutowice). It is a 13th Century church from Vang, Norway. In 1841, the landscape artist Johan Christian Clausen was sent by Friedrich Wilhelm IV to bid on the wood church at auction. It was purchased and shipped to Silesia where it was reassembled. A massive stone tower was built alongside.

The church is still in use and there are German and Polish services held. At this time Pastor Pech resides next door and does have some German Church books. His records, (including other villages, Petersdorf, Zillerthal;-Erdmannsdorf and Brückenberg) include:

Baptisms 1845-1927 Church History 1873-1933
