This is a relatively late photograph of the train depot at the State Street (then Railroad Street) crossing. Passenger service allowed day trips to Lima, Dayton, even Cincinnati.

This tax voucher is for property tax on the land that was eventually deeded and platted as Botkins, Ohio. The voucher is dated 1856.
