Directions
If you are coming into Burton on A444 proceed straight over the new river bridge, straight on over 5 traffic islands. Turn right into Grange Street after the 5th island (beware speed humps), at the next crossroads proceed straight over, then take the first turn on the right into Byrkley Street where the Old Cottage will be on the right.
If you are coming into Burton from Ashby on the A511 over the old Trent river bridge, proceed straight over 2 sets of traffic lights. The road goes over the railway, turn left at traffic island into Derby Street, take right-hand lane at traffic lights (around Town Hall one-way system), right at next traffic lights, get in left-hand lane and take first left turn into Byrkley Street, where the Old Cottage is on the left-hand side of the road.
If you are coming into Burton on A511 from Tutbury, continue to roundabout at Derby Turn (Sainsbury's local shop), taking third exit into Derby Street. Take right-hand lane at traffic lights (around Town Hall one-way system), right at next traffic lights, get in left-hand lane and take first left turn into Byrkley Street, where the Old Cottage is on the left-hand side of the road.
If you are coming into Burton on A38 from Lichfield follow signs for the Hospital and Abbots Bromley this will bring you out at a mini-island where Grange Street will be opposite you. Enter Grange Street (beware speed humps), at the next crossroads proceed straight over, then take the first turn on the right into Byrkley Street where the Old Cottage will be on the right.
If you are coming into Burton on A38 from Derby, after you have turned off A38 for Burton (North) carry straight on at 1st,2nd and 3rd roundabouts (Sainsbury's local) into Derby Street. Take right-hand lane at traffic lights (around Town Hall one-way system), right at next traffic lights, get in left-hand lane and take first left turn into Byrkley Street, where the Old Cottage is on the left-hand side of the road.
Car parking is only available in surrounding streets, or the Town Hall square (only a couple of minutes walk away), but please keep noise to a minimum out of consideration to nearby residents.
