Bruce Grubb's Home page
Welcome to my home page. You will notice an absence of many
graphics as well as many of the latest web innovations such as
frames, Java, and Flash. This is by design; I firmly believe that
the information in these pages and the speed that they
load is more important than showing off the latest in Web
‘gee wizardry’.
I also firmly believe that since the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) was set up
in October 1994 to ensure the Web's interoperability that one
should use whatever tools are available to follow the
“specs” they have provided on HTML.
This philosophy has resulted in pages that are readable by all
browsers
that support the HTML 4.0 “spec” and load fast even if
you are still using a v .34 modem.
Pages by Bruce Grubb
- Mac-Site-list-html
- Mike Gleason and Bruce Grubb’s Mac Site list. Updated quarterly,
it lists over 40 Mac
anonymous ftp sites (some with notes), over 100
Mac web pages, contains some instructions on how to use anonymous ftp and find
files as well a Format Chart showing which programs decompress and decode which
files and a section on how to use certain decoded files.
- Format
Chart
- A simple text file that will show you which program you need to
decode that file you have just downloaded.
- Comp.sys.mac.comm
FAQ
- David Oppenheimer has given me his kind permission to continue
the FAQ. As with the Format-Chart this file is entirely in text
rather than html format.
- Mac-IBM-Info
- The Mac-IBM-Info web page is a revision to the old
Mac-IBM-compare sheet. The sheet now focused on providing
information on hardware, operating systems, networking, and
printing rather than comparing the two platforms.
- Robotech
FAQ
- I have taken over the old Robotech FAQ in the hope of providing
more up to date information for Robotech fans.
- D&D to
GURPS conversion sheet
- D&D to GURPS conversion sheet that allows flexibility in
the style of campaign desired. This page is for attribute
conversion , spell conversion can be handled through the GURPS
magic in D&D page.
