Barrel Racing Facts:

1. In cloverleaf barrel racing, there are three barrels set up in cloverleaf pattern with the barrels being spaced 75 feet apart from the first to second barrel, and 120 feet apart from the second to third.

2. The National Barrel Horse Association (NBHA) has rated it's classes from 1-D, 2-D, 3-D; some other rodeos add a 4-D. A 1-D class is the 1st Division. If the fastes time is 15.200 seconds, every rider within one second of that becomes a 1-D contestant. The 2nd Division begins with competitors running one second or up to two seconds slower than the fastest time overall. The 3rd Division begins when those who ran two seconds or slower than the fastest time overall.
This means that if your horse runs one second slower than the winner, you're the first place rider in the 2-D. And so on...

3. In the sport of polebending, six poles are set up in a straight line 21 feet apart. The object is to weave in and out of the six poles without knocking anything over and the fastest time wins.
