Tender Icon of Jesus ministering to the little children, as described
in Matt 19. The scripture reads "then the little children were brought to
Jesus to place his hands on them and pray for them". When the disciples rebuked
the mothers for wasting Jesus 's time, He said, "Suffer the little children
to come to me, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to them". Lovely painting
with gold leaf and a multi-colored patterned border. Circa 19th century.
