(a.k.a. "Hearts Due")
This game is preferably played with six special dice,
each of which has the letters "H E A R T S" on its
six faces. It may be enjoyed just as well, however, with
ordinary pipped dice.
After rolling to determine playing order (highest total
roll of all six dice goes first, who then passes to the player
on his/her left, and so on), players take turns at throwing
all six dice and scoring points as follows:
1----------------(or H)----------------------scores 5 points
1, 2--------------(or H, E)-------------------scores 10 points
1, 2, 3------------(or H, E, A)---------------scores 15 points
1, 2, 3, 4----------(or H, E, A, R)------------scores 20 points
1, 2, 3, 4, 5--------(or H, E, A, R, T)---------scores 25 points
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6------(or H, E, A, R, T, S)------scores 35 points
When two (or more) of the same value are thrown, only
one of the letters (or numbers) counts. However, when
three H’s (or 1’s) are thrown, then the player loses all
points scored so far and begins again at zero. The first
player to reach 100 points is declared the Winner.
