Josh Throneburg is a 16 year old young man born in Hickory, North Carolina on Feb 7, 1982. He is a rising Country Music Star that in addition to singing, he is a songwriter, guitarist (rhythm and Lead), and is a national and world champion clogger.
Josh is a Junior at East Burke High School and in JROTC. Also, a very impressive accomplishment of Josh in his school was when he managed to become a East Burke Chamber Singer in 10th grade which Chamber Singers are normally for Seniors only. The Chamber Singers is an audition group only and very few make it. He has performed at different functions and benefits around Hickory and the surrounding areas. Along with being a singer, he is also a performer that interacts great with and entertains a crowd of any size and setting. He is a TRUE Crowd Pleaser.
Making many trips to Nashville, Josh has met celebrities such as Merle Haggard, Noel Haggard, Trey Young, Mark Wills, Billy Walker, and more. He has been a member of the Young Guns Of Country Music, Performed at both the Nashville Palace and the Nashville Nightlife, and made appearances at various other functions around Nashville.
Josh's favorite singers are the older style singers such as Merle Haggard, George Jones, Hank Williams Sr., Ray Price, and Conway Twitty. Although he cut his teeth on these style singers, he is equally into all of the newer singers as well and can sing these equally as well also.
He has been performing and singing since he was seven and playing guitar and writing songs since he was 12. He began by simply doing shows for his family at Christmas and such and grew into his areas most requested entertainer. In fact, he did a benefit concert for the "Walkin' Roll Activitites League" which is a league to help Disabled Children.
Josh says.... I am very thankful for all the people who have stood by me through the rough times and the good and have always been there and helped me as much as they could. And my family I love so dearly, that without their support, I would not be where I am today. GOD has given me a gift and a DREAM I will make happen and I have relized that Country Music and Entertaining my wonderful Fans is what I want to do with the rest of my life.
