REACHING INWARD:
Remember we all stumble, every one of us. That's why it's a comfort to go hand in hand.

LETTER FROM
THE HEART

Dear Rita,
I’d like for you to tell each and every one in the group that I miss them and appreciate the discussions we shared about raising our children and coping with family issues. I truly loved Kutztown because the people there are family oriented. There are so many activities for children and parents that foster good values, personal growth, and good citizenship, especially in your program. It’s by the grace of God that when a family is in a time of need, there are facilitators like Friend, Inc. to throw out a life jacket, to keep families afloat, until we can get the oars back in the water.
“It takes a village to raise a child.
We as parents need raising, too."
For this, I most graciously thank you and your co-workers for being there. As the first lady of our country said, “It takes a village to raise a child.” We as parents need raising, too. Friend, Inc. realizes that need and provides a great service to the community. I want you to know it has not gone unnoticed. May God continue to bless you and your family.
Sincerely, N

ANNOUNCING!! NEW SUPPORT GROUP!!

Parents of Teens

Prenatal and early childhood classes are plentiful, but frequently it is difficult to find support and information to guide us through the teenage years. The struggle to emerge as an independent adult can be painful for Mom, Dad, and adolescents -- especially in today’s world. Friend, Inc. is introducing a six-week video and discussion program, “Active Parenting of Teens.” This course will help parents meet the challenges of parenting teens and preteens in today’s turbulent society and provide parents with the skills they need to communicate effectively, encourage better behavior, use positive discipline techniques and teach responsibility. Call to reserve space in group and come meet other parents of teens. It is comforting to have the support and encouragement of other parents.
