Here are a few shots from my "Trick or Treat" dance skit around Halloween 1997. The Wed before Halloween my instructor Steve B. and I danced a Rumba / Bolero / Samba to Jimmy Buffett's "They Don't Dance Like Carmen No More" for the local swing crowd. They seemed to enjoy it. I know the costume entrance got a big response! I had kept it pretty secret.

After performing with my Pro, I caught Alfredo (a great street mambo/salsa dancer) for a dance. Carmen had taken over my body! Alfredo has such smooth moves! It is rumored that he was once Mambo champion in Cuba many years ago ...Just one of the eclectic characters to be found dancing at Jitterbug Bill's weekly Wednesday night dance. "THE Dance" we call it. It is ECS, WCS, Lindy Hop, Hustle, Samba, Cajun/Zydeco, Two step, ChaCha, Mambo/Salsa, Merengue and whatever else strikes Bill's fancy - he DJ's and teaches it all. Try it if you are in the area - The Northampton Center For The Arts, Northampton, MA every Wednesday night 7pm-whenever (usually 11:30pm).

DANCE CAMP '97 was June 6/7/8 at The American Academy of Ballroom Dance in Agawam, MA. and it was GREAT FUN! Don't miss it next year!!! Also watch for DANCE CAMP FALL on November 15th!!
