Chicago Related News (Updated 09/10/98)- (9/10/98) Chicago has released the new Christmas CD and it is available now at Music Boulevard! (4/26/98) Chicago has released summer tour dates. Click here to get them. I read on the Chicago ML that the new song(s) will be released as singles. I can't confirm this, but if it's true, it'll be better than having to buy the whole new CD for just two songs. (3/15/98) Chicago has stated on their website that a GH+2 CD will be out in May, and a Christmas album is due out later this year as well. Whoop-de-do! Can you say "RELEASE SOS"?!? (1/10/98) Chicago has announced a semi-complete tour schedule for '98. It's on their web site now... (12/21/97) Chicago has officially said they will be releasing a "Heart of Chicago II" in the spring of '98, do a Christmas album for '98, and they said they have an all new album planned for 1999. It will be interesting to see how all of this pans out. (10/17/97) Chicago has already booked several dates early next year in Las Vegas. Seems the rumors about their demise are false! (10/03/97) Jason Scheff and Bill Champlin perform on Joseph Williams' "I Am Alive" CD. Both of them offer their vocal talents on multiple tracks and Jason plays bass on the track "Cool Night." Bill Champlin sings background vocals on Joseph Williams' "3" CD. His vocals are VERY audible as they are mixed louder than background vocals usually are (especially on the track "Love in the Rear View Mirror"). Jason Scheff did background vocals on the song "Oh Diane" for the Frederiksen/Phillips CD (available through Thoughtscape Sounds). There's a duet with Bill Champlin on the latest Janey Clewer CD available through Thoughtscape Sounds. Peter Cetera does background vocals on some tracks. Jason sings lead on one of the songs on the new Bruce Gaitsch CD "Aphasia." (8/05/97) It was recently rumored (still unconfirmed) that Chicago will release a "Heart of Chicago vol. 2". Perhaps this explains the lack of "essential" songs on the first compilation. (8/05/97) Jason Scheff's solo album will be out in the next few weeks! Check back here for info! (8/05/97) Recently, a Chicago fan was handed a "cease and desist" order from HK Management concerning an offer made to fellow Chicago fans to copy FREE video of some of the band's performances that were made as part of the one fan's job. The developments and activities concerning this matter has some fans in an uproar.

I took this information as fact, but in fact it was just a rumor. I sincerely apologize for my mistake and in the future, will fully research "news topics" before I post anything to this website. If I caused any confusion or problems, I sincerely apologize and hope you can forgive me. (06/14/97) I attended Chicago's concert on Friday night (the 13th) and the show was AWESOME! Everything was even better than I thought it would be! These guys can still rock after 30 Years! (06/02/97) Chicago kicked off their 1997 tour on Saturday in St. Louis! The main surprise was the revitalization of "Street Player", a single from Chicago 13 that more or less bombed. They'll do this tune at all of the concerts this summer. Here is a setlist for the 1997 tour. A note that this is subject to change from concert to concert... 1.) Saturday In The Park 2.) Ballet For A Girl In Buchannon 3.) Just You N' Me 4.) Hard Habit To Break 5.) Street Player 6.) If You Leave Me Now 7.) Here In My Heart 8.) Dialogue Pt. 1 9.) Look Away 10.) Free 11.) Beginnings 12.) Hard To Say I'm Sorry/Get Away 13.) Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is? 14.) I'm A Man 15.) In The Mood 16.) 25 or 6 to 4

(04/08/97) Chicago Records told me that by next week they'll have some new Chicago merchandise! Here's the e-mail with the skinny..... "We are in the process of making t-shirts right now. They should be ready to mail out next Monday. One is a shirt with every album cover the band has ever done, one is a Greatest Hits Volume I shirt, one is a summer 97 tour shirt, and one is a 30th anniversary shirt. Each one will be $19.95, and they are white, with four color lettering. They come in M, L, and XL. The pictures of the shirts should be on the internet next week, as will copies of the shirts on a brochure for mailing." I'm gonna be the first to buy one! :-) It'll be nice to show up to school with a COOL band's shirt on, instead of all the other bands shirts I see at school all the time like Korn, Tool, etc. You know, all that other music. ;-) (04/08/97) Good news! My local radio station in North Carolina played Here in My Heart today! Looks like Chicago got another market here in the south! (04/07/97) Peter Schivarelli, one of the managers working with Chicago commented the other day on how well the new Chicago single has done.
