There might have been trumpet players who could hit higher notes or play faster. And there might have been singers who had smoother and more mellifluous voices. But there was no one who could play or sing like Louie.

When the Millenium rolled in and it came time to vote for the number one song of the Twentieth Century, did it go to anything from Sinatra, Crosby, or even the Beatles? Nope, the honor went to "What a Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong.
