Blowing up a blown up bridge ...
Next stop, ESB Patricia.
We were called in to help remove a destroyed Bailey bridge. It was cut with small charges of C-4 into sections small enough to be hauled out by a bull dozer with a cable. I had almost stepped on a live mortar round that was positioned parallel and against a bottom span of the bridge. A little C-4 did away with it.
