Q. I’m familiar with the basic end times scriptures, but they are
difficult to understand—are there some guidelines for interpreting them?
A. Because of the mysterious language often used in Bible prophecy, it’s difficult to know what is meant to be taken literally and what is figurative. It’s also difficult to know if they apply to past, present, or future events. You may be aware that well-meaning Christians view end times scriptures in quite different ways. To help understand the nature of end times prophecy and to appreciate how there can be so many different interpretations, start with the study on The Basics of Bible Prophecy. This will provide the foundation for many of the other studies on this site.
