CHURCH OF CHRIST-SAN MATEO
Our Soul Searching Project 2007 is the seventh of our "forward action" projects. We have divided areas of responsibility which will allow for a comprehensive & intensive effort to reach out into the community with the gospel. There will be increased emphasis given to our families, friends, co-workers, & neighbors through classes geared to overcoming objections. We will be doing all that is possible to help teach to the areas of strength for each member. All of this to insure a confidence when presenting the gospel to the lost. We are also getting tracks & other enabling materials for those who feel less secure speaking to people face to face. We hope that the churches continue to preach the gospel without compromise or dilution. For more information on this "forward action" project, we invite you to view the area that we have set aside to explain what we hope to accomplish in our community of San Mateo. We also hope that you might please see our Bulletin.
From here we highly recommend you visit our "Core" page which serves as our site map (or index), and provides the full menu selection of our site. You will be able to navigate through a wide range of choices that we have made available for you.
We have several features, Questions & Answers (in order to provide quick & concise answers to your Bible questions), The Lab (an experimental page to be more fully developed later), and Bible Basics , a page that will guide anyone through basic Bible themes (Repentance, Heaven, God's Love, The Church, Interpretation, & Evangelism). The most recent of our features is a "Message" page, which will bring you the haunting short "Too Late! ".
This page will change often as the need for brief, poignant "messages" will always be necessary. If you have additional questions please feel free to E-mail us, or contact J.S. Oxendine at (650) 343-4997.
The
congregation in San Mateo is dedicated to presenting the "whole counsel of God", and to "contending
earnestly for the faith". We remain committed to the restoration principles
of Bible-only, and the acceptance of silence where the scriptures are silent.
We regret that there are brethren who are intent on "going beyond" that
which is written, but when we encounter them we withstand them to the face.
