U.K.C. NOVICE A OBEDIENCE


Interested in learning more about how the United Kennel Club (U.K.C.) conducts an Obedience trial? Just check out this wonderful dog show ring that Pat Kalbaugh gave permission to use.

NOVICE A OBEDIENCE SHOW RING

This Novice A Obedience Ring shows the dog handler the pattern that must be followed to complete each element of the obedience exercise.

To qualify in Novice A (a beginner level of training) an individual and his/her dog must scoure at least 170 points. To complete in the Novice level of training you must receive 3 quailifying scores of 170 points at 3 different U.K.C. licensed obedience trials. The dog must score at least 50% of the possible points in each of the 7 required exercises. The qualifying scores must be earned under at least 2 different U.K.C. licensed obedience judges.

To register for the 12th Annual Bristol Valley Training Club Trials, return to the Bristol Valley Training Club page at: Cookhol's BVTC1 for contact names and e-mail addresses. The trials are a great way to compete with your dogs and meet new individuals who also enjoy training their dogs for the fun of it!
