The Fellowship of Isis was founded in 1976 by Olivia Durdin Robertson, her brother Lawrence Durdin-Robertson & his wife Pamela (both Pamela & Lawrence now deceased). It is a multi-traditional, (you can be any Pagan tradition you wish), multi- cultural organization with a current membership of over 13,000 in 80 countries.
The Fellowship headquarters and temples, are located in the basement of the Robertson's 17th century castle in Ireland. Many Gods and Goddesses, in addition to Isis, are worshiped and have shrines there. It is felt that all Goddesses are aspects of "Goddess" and all Gods are aspects of "God". Therefore, the Fellowship refers to Isis as: "Isis of 10,000 Names".
In 1986 Olivia created the College of Isis as part of the Fellowship. She invited a number of Iseums to change their focus to teaching, and form sister-centers, called Lyceums. She then bestowed a further initiation upon Lyceum leaders that they would function as Hierophants of the Fellowship. Until then, only Olivia and Lawrence held that title.
The Fellowship was proud to be a co-sponsor of the 1993 Parliament of the World's Religions, a gathering of 7,000 held in Chicago. Olivia was chosen as one of 20 people (1 of only 3 women & the only Pagan), to give a blessing at the opening session.
The following is an open Letter from Lady Olivia Robertson, co-founder of the Fellowship of Isis, which explains the Archpriesthood Union.
I feel so happy that, after waiting twenty years, I may now share the authority and responsibility of my work with The Fellowship of Isis with the Archpriesthood Union. This revival of the three thousand year-old Isian title had been planned by my brother Lawrence and myself when enough of our Priesthood should qualify. Since my brother departed for Spirit Sphere, I have very frequently been asked: "Who is your successor?" I have always given the same answer: "Every sincere member is my successor!"
However, now we have over 15,200 members in 93 countries and gain more every day. So F.O.I. needs an authoritative Archpriesthood to protect our spiritual and religious progress in countries where we have members. Such an Archpriesthood will ultimately have the influence of Archbishops - as in the past!
May each one of us go forward with creativity and happiness inspired by the starry wings of Isis!
This thousand-year old Isian title is revived to designate those in The Fellowship of Isis whose sphere of influence extends to over a thousands members and helpers. During the last twenty years only the Priesthood in Nigeria and Ghana have qualified to use the designation "The Rt. Rev." Now at last we have reached the optimum number to form a successful Union of F.O.I. Custodians. To fill vacancies, new members will be chosen by existing Union members, not by voting but by spiritual guidance and consensus. The Fellowship of Isis has expanded to such an extent, that this global rainbow network is inspired by Isis, to maintain our values of Love, Beauty and Truth far into the coming millenium.

IT'S FOUNDERS, AND RELIGIOUS TRADITION
OF THE CRYSTAL MOON COLLEGE OF ISIS
In the Fall of 1993, Olivia Robertson, head and co-founder of the Fellowship of Isis, Ireland, invited Firewalker & Talon to found a Lyceum, in addition to retaining their Iseum (personal Coven or group). They became the 48th Lyceum in the world, and a teaching branch of The College of Isis, Ireland. She asked them to extend their Priestess/Priest training course to others through correspondence. Olivia then personally ordained them as Priestess & Priest Hierophants in the Fellowship of Isis. (Hierophant is an ancient Greek term for High Priest/High Priestess.)
In conjunction with The Order of the Crystal Moon International Pagan Fellowship, the Lyceum's correspondence courses are conducted in F.O.I. Priestess/Priest Magi training (God/Goddess Spirituality Wicca) incorporating rituals written by Olivia Robertson as a result of Divine inspiration.
Firewalker is a 4th Degree Wiccan High Priestess, an ordained Universal Life Church minister, an ordained Priestess Hierophant and ordained Arch Priestess in the Fellowship of Isis, Ireland. Firewalker, a fire sign, has taken the Craft name "Firewalker" as the result of successfully "Fire-walking" at the Huna World Alliance Conference, Alberta Canada, 1988. Firewalker has been active in Pagan worship groups since 1974, (see "Sabaean Religious Order" in Margot Adler's book, "Drawing Down the Moon" -- she attended the wedding ritual Margot describes).
Talon is a 4th Degree Wiccan High Priest, an ordained Universal Life Church minister, an ordained Priest Hierophant and ordained Arch Priest in the Fellowship of Isis, Ireland. He has taken the Craft name "Talon" due to feeling a special relationship with birds, especially Hawks, his power animal. Talon discovered his interest in Paganism in 1980, but was unable to locate a Wiccan coven until early 1989 when a friend invited him to attend a Beltane ritual.
Firewalker & Talon met at that Beltane festival, held on April 29, 1989. They were married 6 months later to the day, October 29, on a New Moon by a Wiccan High Priest in a Unitarian Church.
On January 28, 1999, Firewalker and Talon were elevated to Arch Priestess and Arch Priest, (number 14 and 15 worldwide), by Olivia Robertson, Co-founder of the Fellowship of Isis, Ireland. Until recently, only Olivia held this title which would be equivalent to Arch Bishops in other religions. In May, 1999 on their trip to Ireland, Firewalker and Talon were personally ordained into the Archpriesthood Union by Olivia Robertson, (See "Our Trip To Ireland"). They would like to express their great appreciation to Olivia for this honour.
Crystal Moon Wicca, which Talon and Firewalker founded in late 1989, is an eclectic form of Wicca. The original Wiccan coven, that Firewalker was initiated into in 1981, was Celtic.... so, "Crystal Moon Wicca", is an eclectic form of Wicca with Celtic roots. It is also democratic, in that members' points of view were taken into consideration when the tradition was formed. It was named Crystal Moon Wicca, to set it apart from other types of Wicca, since it is not pure Celtic, Alexandrian or Gardnerian.
Crystal Moon Wicca was chosen as our Lyceum's religious tradition as it allows great freedom of worship by including & working with all forms of Nature, the 4 Elements, the 4 Directions, Nature Spirits, a circle of protection, the performance of Magick and taping into the power of New & Full Moons through ritual.
Since we feel that all Goddesses are aspects of "Goddess" and all Gods are aspects of "God" members of The Lyceum of the Goddess of the Crystal Moon are free to recognize and worship the God/Goddess by what ever name/aspect they are drawn to. Hence Egyptian Deities can be worshiped on Egyptian feast days, Roman & Greek on theirs, God/Goddess on Wiccan feast days, etc. And of course at New & Full Moon rituals members are free to worship the God & Goddess by what ever name they wish.
A traditional European "Four Degree System" is used. Equal emphasis is placed on the God and Goddess, insuring balance. The purpose of The Lyceum of the Goddess of the Crystal Moon, is to teach and learn from others. Members show reverence to the Gods, live in harmony with nature and show respect for all living things.

The Priestess/Priest training program, consists of 4 Wiccan Degrees leading to both Wiccan High Priestess/Priest and Fellowship of Isis Hierophant. (Hierophant is an ancient Greek term for High Priest/High Priestess.)
In addition to the Wiccan Degrees, the student will also receive an F.O.I. Magi Degree for each level completed.
A quiz/exercise to be completed by the student is enclosed with each lesson. The next lesson can not be sent until this is returned. The answers/exercises, help you & your instructors evaluate your progress and understanding of the lesson materials. Corrected homework is returned to the student & a photo copy is maintained in their C.O.I. file.
HOWEVER, STUDENTS WILL BE ACCEPTED AT AGE 17 IF THEY ARE A HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATE & HAVE PARENTAL CONSENT.
ALL STUDENTS MUST BEGIN WITH THE FIRST DEGREE CLASSES.
Part 1 consists of 6 lessons plus final exam in, "Introduction To Ritual", taking a minimum of 3 months of study to complete.
Upon successful completion of the final exam, you will receive both your "1st Wiccan Degree" & "1st F.O.I. Magi Degree" (if student has already earned an F.O.I. Magi Degree, the next appropriate degree will be bestowed); Initiation and Dedication. If you are unable to travel to the Chicago area to receive your degrees, a ritual will be sent to you to perform yourself with an accompanying audio cassette. You will also receive your Certificates and White Cord With First Knots Tied in It.
Please Note: If you have already done an Initiation/Dedication, either by yourself, or with a group, this will be a re-dedication as we recognize any self or group dedication to be valid.
If you have enrolled for 2nd degree classes, you will also receive lesson 1 for 2nd degree so that you may continue on without interruption.
Part 2 consists of 11 lessons plus final exam in, "Ritual Magick", taking a minimum of 1 Year & 1 Day of study to complete.
Upon successful completion of your final exam, you will receive both your "2nd Wiccan Degree" & "2nd F.O.I. Magi Degree"; and also ordination as a Priestess/Priest of Wicca and within the Fellowship of Isis, Ireland. If you are unable to travel to the Chicago area to receive your degrees, a ritual will be sent to you to perform yourself. You will also receive your Certificates and authorization to tie the 2nd Knots in your Cord.
If you have enrolled for 3rd degree classes, you will also receive class 1 for 3rd degree so that you may continue on without interruption.
Part 3 consists of 11 lessons plus final exam in, "Metaphysics", taking a minimum of 1 Year and 1 Day of study to complete.
Upon successful completion of your final exam, you will receive both your "3rd Wiccan Degree" & "3rd F.O.I. Magi Degree". If you are unable to travel to the Chicago area to receive your degrees, a ritual will be sent to you to perform yourself. You will also receive your Certificates, and authorization to tie the 3rd Knots in your Cord.
If you have enrolled for 4th degree classes, you will also receive class 1 for 4th degree so that you may continue on without interruption.
Part 4 consists of 6 lessons plus final exam in, "The Priesthood: Becoming a Wiccan High Priestess/Priest & F.O.I. Hierophant", taking a minimum of 3 months of study to complete. (Hierophant is an ancient Greek term for High Priest/High Priestess.)
These advanced classes concentrate primarily on running a successful Coven &/or Fellowship of Isis group. Successful completion will result in ordination as a Hierophant within the Fellowship of Isis, Ireland & a High Priestess/Priest of Wicca.
Upon successful completion of your final exam, you will receive both your "4th Wiccan Degree" & "4th F.O.I. Magi Degree". If you are unable to travel to the Chicago area to receive your degree, a ritual will be sent to you to perform yourself. You will also receive your Certificates, and authorization to tie the 4th Knots in your Cord. In addition, you will receive both a Lyceum of the Goddess of the Crystal Moon charter & a Fellowship of Isis charter. These charters allow you to run a recognized group at any point in time.
Please Note: Although we will allow you to receive your degrees by mail, it is highly advised that you do take some vacation time, etc. to travel to the Chicago area to receive your degrees in a special ritual. Family members and friends will be allowed to attend your ritual.
