The Pitts Family

Thanks to Jim Pitts, the grandson of Howard B. Pitts for helping identify the Pitts on this picture. James Columbus Pitts is the man sitting. Martha (Lucy) Vera Buchanan his wife is standing behind him. The man behind the baby is Austin Vincent, his wife Clara beside him. The woman beside James Columbus is Romie Hunter. It had been reported to me that the man holding the baby was James Robert Pitts, but Aunt Bera says that he was not there that day. The little girl with her hands over her face has been identified as Bera Pitts, and the little girl beside her is (My grandmother) Ruth Irene Pitts Baugh. The man at the top left is John Morgan Wiles, husband of Mary Inez Pitts.
