Captain Jonathan Caldwell

The Captain Jonathan Caldwell Chapter is named for Captain Jonathan Caldwell, who commanded a Company of Colonel Haslet's Regiment and whose men took fighting Blue Cocks to war. The fighting quality of the cocks gave the men the nickname "Blue Hen Chicks," a sobriquet which came to apply to all Delawareans.
Chapter meetings are held the first Saturday of October, November, December, January, February, March, May, and June.
