A: I am so obsessive I build only one or to things a yr I mainly stare at and critique kits I'll never get around to building
Q;What is the best 911 Carrera Model?
A: Fujimi enthusiast series, beware the engines lots of fit problems but very detailed the engine is only for the experienced modeler, mine took a week and a half of spare time
Q: what is the best 76-89 911 turbo model?
A: Fujimi enthusiast series, see above also the turbo engines are similarly complicated, a note to the detail nut the turbo targa and turbo cabriolet feature engines with crankshaft and pistons, great for the diorama builder
Essentially if you are looking for a model Porsche and Fujimi makes an EM series version than it is the best one available
Q:are these the same kits as reboxed by Testors in the mid eighties
A; yes, but beware, half of the testors versions I bought had bodies warped or bent so badly they were useless the other half had out of register decals, save yourself grief buy only the Fujimi versions
Q:what about the monogram 911 turbo?
A; A fair kit with simplified engine, acceptable but not as good as the Fujimi EM series, I suggest you buy the coupe version because it contains the E.T. head shaped CHMSL used in 86-87 on whale tail cars and cabrios, can be used as it is and also some cars just had the top part and the kit has the interior mounted CHMSL as used 86-95

A: no way! lot's of modifications required!
Q: Is there a model of the Dauer 962 LeMans winner?
A: LeMans miniatures 1/87, 1/24, 1/43 high detail, provence moulage 1/43, Renaissance 1/43
Q; Is the black roof area on the Dauer carbon fiber
A: No, I have heard it was but I went to Germay to the Porsche museum and saw the car,
I have photos to prove that area is definitely a semigloss black, let me add though that museum cars usually differ from the cars as used in the race but only in a minor way usually
Q: why does my race car have a decal that says "Made in Flacht" aren't Porsches made in Zuffenhausen and race cars made in Weissach?
A: Flacht is a small village near the Weissach R&D center, this is what the markings refer to
Q:where do I put the radio antenna my references don't show where
A; thats because in the mid 80s 86 I think Porsche went to a windshield imbedded antenna for AM and FM they did this because of weight saving and less aerodynamic drag, oddly I have seen an angled antenna on recent vintage 911s in Germany maybe it's for the cell phone and seen on 928 GTS
Q: the car I'm modeling does have an antenna where does it go?
A :911 pass front fender top, 924/944 driver front fender top, 928 rear fender drivers side-e-mail me for more details and info
Q:What is the most detailed model you know of
A: Pocher 993 which is coming soon will probably be
Q: is there a model of the Porsche Panamerica show car?

Q; what is the best reference on Porsche models
A: the Upietz Porsche Miniatures book, expensive but worth every penny
