The goal of a support group is to empower its members with the tools necessary to make adjustment needed to continue a life of dignity and independence, as stated in the philosphy of the International Polio Network.

The support group is open to anyone interested in Post Polio Syndrome. This disease is very tragic and devastating to the PPSer, families, and friends. It not only takes its toll physically, but mentally and emotionally as well. The group itself will belong to the members as being a friendly, open and non-threating entity. The staffers will facilitate, guide, educate and be there for the members.
