Now don't get excited,
Don't be misled.
These aren't for you,
But our dishes instead.

Just pull on the bow,
Take out the stitches,
You've gained two dishcloths,
But, you've lost your....britches.

RECTANGULAR CARRIER

Here are some hints and instructions that go along with most of the patterns.

Crocheting with multiple strands of yarn is an excellent way of using up
leftover yarn. Remember, it takes 8 strands of 4-plyworsted weight yarn to

equal a 2 1/2 inch fabric strip.

Crocheting with multiple strands of yarn is an excellent way of using up
leftover yarn. Remember, it takes 8 strands of 4-plyworsted weight yarn to
equal a 2 1/2 inch fabric strip.

CHOOSING YOUR YARN: In choosing color combinations, it is moreexciting if,
instead of using 8 strands of exactly the same color, you use 8 strands of
slightly different shades. You can even go bold and combine 8 different
colors for a bright multi-hued effect.

When matching colors of yarn to simulate colors in fabric prints, use 3 to 4
strands of the background color and pick up the colors from the fabric design
with the remaining strands.

HOW MUCH YARN YOU WILL NEED: It takes 8 strands of 4-ply worsted weight yarn
to equal a 2 1/2 inch wide light weight fabric strip. If you were to use baby
or sport yarn, you would need 2 strands of sport yarn to replace each strand
of 4-ply (2 strands of sport yarn = one strand of 4-ply worsted weight).
These light weight yarns can be used to allow even more colors in your
combination of choices. If using all sport yarn, you would need 16 strands.
You may want to try using a mixture of sport and worsted weight yarn.
