Timeline for the "Daybreak" Stories

This is a test...just keep reading...A long, long time ago...

Okay, so it was only two and a half years--

I became a born-again Voyager fan and started writing some P/T stories that evolved into an alternate universe that came to be called the Daybreak Series.

After working on and off (mostly off, unfortunately) on continuing the series (taking the events into a different version of season four), I think I'm finally going to get it off the ground. This timeline provides a reference for anyone (including me!) who needs to catch up.

The stories may be found at DangerMom's Archive.

The timeline gives the chronological order, in which they should be read.

1) "Turn Around..."

Charts the Paris/Torres relationship through most of third season, in scenes complementing these episodes: "The Swarm," "Macrocosm," "Blood Fever," and "Displaced."

2) "Into The Woods"

Takes place two days after the events of "Displaced." The lieutenants go on their first "date." (Approx. Stardate 50918.7)

Interim Period: Shortly after her first birthday, Kim Naomi Wildman's Ktarian heritage exerts itself; her physical and mental growth proceed at a faster rate than a human child's. (Derived from canon)

3) "Revisions"

Begins the day after the events of "Into The Woods." Tom and B'Elanna must adjust to the changes in their lives as they get to know each other better. Ends approximately one month later, in the wake of "Worst Case Scenario." (First deviation from canon timeline, time between "Displaced" and "WCS" being two more weeks than can be calculated by the canon stardates.)

Interim Period (most events after this point will be AU--if an episode is not referred to, it didn't happen, or certain events may have occurred differently than in canon):

Approximately 3 weeks after "WCS," events of "Scorpion" parts 1 and 2. Major deviation from canon events. Explanation of Kes' departure from Voyager (negating "The Gift"), and the absence of Seven of Nine to be found in the first chapter of the work-in-progress "Passages of Fortune."

Ensigns Murphy (corpsman), Parsons (lab tech) and Wildman (xenobiologist) begin cross-training for more advanced medical duties.

2 weeks after the 9.5 thousand light year jump--Commander Chakotay is nearly lost in the Vori-Kraiden War. ("Nemesis") Tuvok receives promotion to Lt. Commander. Information given by the Kraiden allows Voyager to bypass Bomar space with little inconvenience.

Voyager spends close to a month negotiating the Delta Badlands, and almost 2 weeks recovering and getting back on course.

4) "Daybreak"

B'Elanna and Tom contemplate the next step in their tumultuous relationship.

5) "The Course of True Love"

Immediately follows "Daybreak." Life gets rather complicated for Voyager's pilot and engineer. Ends two weeks later just before the departure from the system dubbed Safe Harbor.

6) "This Crazy Little Thing Called Love"

Immediate coda to "The Course of True Love." Three days later, Voyager resumes course to the Alpha Quadrant. Tom finishes advanced medic training (re: "Turn Around...") and begins duties as Sickbay medical assistant. Several days later, Voyager encounters dangerous nebular remnant of the Delta Badlands.

7) "In The Midnight Hour"

Voyager deals with problems caused by the nebulas. Lieutenants Paris and Torres are placed on enforced leave by Commander Tuvok.

8) "Passages of Fortune" (WIP)

The first chapter takes place almost 3 months after the events of "Scorpion 2." Life goes on for the Voyager crew, with some complications, as usual.

Daybreak Apochrypha:

"Inside Out"

Tom reflects on the life he's leading.
