The Dick Van Dyke Show first aired on Nick at Nite late 1991. In 1993, Dick Van Dyke was named the Chairman of Nick at Nite, and he personally hosted his favorite episodes on five different nights. In 1993 and 1994, The Dick Van Dyke Show was often featured in Very Very Nick at Nite, such as Very Very Jerry Van Dyke and Very Very Alan Brady. It has been a very highly rated show, and it is current;y has been on Nick at Nite longer than any other show it is currently showing.
THE CAST:
Dick Van Dyke as Robert Petrie: Dick Van Dyke was born in 1925. The Dick Van Dyke Show premiered in 1961, and was almost canceled that year. It was kept on and lasted until the end of the season in 1966. In 1977, Dick Van Dyke joined Carol Brunette on her show for a while. Dick Van Dyke also co-starred with Julie Andrews in Disneys "Mary Poppins" in 1964. Dick Van Dyke is currenty the star of Diagnosis Murder on CBS.
Mary Tyler Moore as Laura Petrie: One of the most famous women in TV history, Mary Tyler Moore was born in 1936. She was only 24 when she landed the roll of Laura Petrie of The Dick Van Dyke Show. In 1970, she began her work on her own show "The Mary Tyler Moore Show", and has remained one of the most requested shows. In the 1980's she starred in her short-lived series, "Mary", and in 1995 began work on "New York News". Mary didn't like her role, and the show lasted less than ten episodes. Recently, Moore (now 61) guest starred with Valerie Harper on The Rosie O'Donnel Show.
Rose Marie as Sally Rogers: Rose Marie was born in the early 1920's. She is most know for her role as Sally Rogers on The Dick Van Dyke Show. She also guest starred on a few classics, such as The Monkees.
Morey Amsterdam as Buddy Surrel: Rob's other co-worker, Morey Amsterdam was born in 1915. In 1948, he had his own short-lived show "The Morey Amsterdam Show". In "The Dick Van Dyke Show" he was constantly making hilarious jokes at the producer of The Alan Brady Show, Mel Cooley. Sadly, he died in October of 1996.

Episode 51- "It May Look Like a Walnut" In this episode, Rob sees a horror show about aliens with 4 fingers (no thumbs), eyes in the back of their head, and a love for walnuts are taking over the government and turning everyone into one of them. Rob dreams everyone but him are aliens, and they're out to get 'em! Guest Star: Danny Thomas
Episode 53- "Give Me Your Walls" Rob and Laura expect a strange painter who they hire to paint their living room is ready to take them for all the money they have.
Episode 97- "A Ghost of a Chantz" Rob, Laura, Sally, and Buddy spend a relaxing evening in a haunted cabin. When everyone "freaks out", Mel suprises tells them that they're on "Sneaky Camera"
Episode 128- "Coast to Coast Big Mouth" When Laura is picked to be a contestent on a game show, a sneaky host gets Laura into trouble by making her say Alan Brady is bald, as well as putting Rob's job on the line!
The Dick Van Dyke Show airs weeknights at 1:30 am on Nick at Nite, on Saturdays at 12:30 am, andon Sundays at 10:30 pm.
