Essay Unlike their descendants in the Jurassic and Cretaceous periods, most dinosaurs in the Late Triassic were very small creatures. The real masters of the earth at that time were beasts like Postosuchus. This close cousin of the dinosaurs weighed nearly a ton and was the largest predator on earth two hundred and twenty million years ago. Its remains have been found in the Petrified Forest National Park. |
