I also was a member of the Atlanta Opera Chorus for several seasons, and made my professional debut last season as The Jailer in Tosca. Atlanta Opera is a fabulous company, and I consider my friends there very much my family.
This past year I decided I was ready for a little change (little?) so I totally uprooted myself and moved to New York. I think the anticipation of the move was much more traumatic for me than the actual move! I have adjusted to life here very well. Upon my arrival I started doing temp work to pay the bills, but decided that the high-stress 9 to 5 office environment wasn't for me. I've made many musical contacts in a very short time, and am happy to say I am now making my living solely by singing! I must say, it is incredibly rewarding being paid to do what you love to do.
Okay, enough about me for now. Please enjoy exploring some of my links below. They include various sites that are excellent resources for researching opera and other vocal and choral literature, links to some of my favorite opera companies, and then pages of friends and other interesting places. Hope you enjoy!
