Show Site Information

The Show site is the Butler County Fairgrounds.

The Butler County Fairgrounds are located at 1715 Fairgrove Avenue on State Route 4 in Hamilton, Ohio.
The phone number for the Fairgrounds is (513) 892-1423.

FEATURES OF THE FAIRGROUNDS:

The Fairgrounds have indoor show rings so the weather is not an issue. Our show goes rain or shine!! Some areas on the grounds where other club's hold agility and other like events can be muddy, but most of the areas have gravel or grass to walk on. There are many other events going on during the same weekend. There will be Obedience Trials, Agility Trials, and many, many Breed shows. As most are AKC shows, standard rules apply regarding behavior and control of your dog on site. As for the amenities, many of the buildings do have water spouts available to fill water bowls and such. Also, if you are staying at the Fairgrounds (for what is usually a three or four day event), there are some indoor bathroom and shower facilities. However, please note that grooming is allowed in designated areas only... so no sneaking your Dobe into the shower with you!

The following information is based on past experience and the DPC of Greater Dayton does not warrant its accuracy as we do not control the Fairgrounds:

Parking Fees & Facilities - The Fairgrounds do have both day parking and overnight parking. The grounds are fairly flat which is nice. If you are an exhibitor at the show, then day parking fees for cars is only $2.00 per day (otherwise it is $5.00). RV parking fees are $15.00 a day or $50.00 for the weekend. Electrical hookups may available, but not necessarily (i.e., no guarantees). There are no dumping stations provided. So empty your holding tanks before you come. Sometimes RV parking is restricted due to weather conditions, but again, our show goes rain or shine! Also, no open fires are allowed on the grounds under any circumstances.

Access to the Fairgrounds - The only exhibitor entrance gate which opens on Friday at 8:00 am and at 6:00 am Saturday through Monday. The gate is locked nightly at midnight.

Shopping, Goodies & Food - There will be a number of vendors of dog supplies and products (food, treats, toys, theme clothes, leashes, crates, and more), as well as many tasty human food and snack vendors. There is also usually a nice big & CASUAL dinner held on the Fairgrounds. Not far away, but you will have to drive there, are various restaurants at Bridgewater Falls (a couple exits closer to I-75 up route 129 look for the exit with the big Target store) that offer free wi-fi access (Panera and Culvers) as well as a large Pet Smart store and other shopping and dining.

DIRECTIONS TO THE FAIRGROUNDS:
This way is a little bit longer mileage-wise than taking State Rte. 63 (if that is what Mapquest told you to do), but it has a lot fewer lights and more time on the interstate! So, it is actually the faster way to come!
