Finally The Rock Has Come Back To The Augeri.......Board
You are about to enter the perilous region known as the "Message Board".
This dangerous and sometimes inflammatory zone is often frequented by the
great unwashed, some of whom feel the need to use somewhat less than civilized
language. These are beings of great passion (if not vocabulary) who often
rant on and on and on and on (you get the picture), sometimes employing
expletives in their fanatical diatribes (in other words, they use bad words
kiddies). IF YOU ARE OFFENDED BY BAD LANGUAGE (or just bad taste), then PLEASE
GO BACK! I have not yet mastered a technique to control these beasties (nor
do i really want to). Now if you don't like what you are reading what did
dogman put on the screan before you entered. Now To the jackass's like
AUGERISMOKESPERRY RAGIN JAY=JOY OH YA BIGMOUTH FROM LA THE LAWOMAN.You guys
sit here and cry "OH THIS IS A AUGERI BOARD GET LOST"I TAKE IT YOU ARE ALL
AMERCAN PEOPLE.CAUSE MOST OF THE AMERICAN ARE HEARTLESS AND WHEN THEY DON'T
GET THIER WAY PULL A GUN.LIKE WHY DON'T YOU SHUT THE HELL UP,AND QUIT SMOKING
THAT CHEAP STUFF .YOU ARE CRYING LIKE NEAL SCHON AND JON CAIN.WORDS FROM
NEAL --->OH THIS IS MY BAND I HAVE BEEN HERE THE LONGEST,I CAN'T WAIT
FOR YOU PERRY AND LIKE AN AMERICAN I WILL KICK YOU WHEN YOU ARE DOWN SO AS
FOR YOUR HIP WE ARE ON TOUR WITHOUT YA and for what he(STEVE PERRY) wanted
to do was with pride for Journey to go under a different name.Since I ain't
a american I can understand why.You see most Americans are selfish, and want
things thier way,am I correct?"SO all the Augeri people who don't like what
you read, remember this before you entered? IF YOU ARE OFFENDED BY BAD LANGUAGE
(or just bad taste),DO YOU? Whoever wants to walk towards the ROCK JUST BRING
IT ! Anyhow the rock reads about how the Steve Perry fans should go away.Well
i am not GOING AWAY been banned once came back and kicked ass.So.....As for
you Neal you moron ,It wasn't just you who made Journey. The nobrainers like
You and Jon get together and kick Perry when he is down(just like most Americans
do)and then wonder why you can't fill a building like you want to.Oh yes
you would like to blame Perry for that, just like some of the losers here.Which
most of them are heartless, selfish just like You. Ragin i seen how you wanted
to ban someone from here from the post the left on here.So i take it if you
don't like the post ban them is your answer?.......um is that a Yes.What
,you don't remember? What,The guy posted 5 weeks ago.Remember?What.Keep looking,i
am sure you will find it.You whine and cry like Stephanie McMahon.Daddy Daddy
I need help.What.Don't know Stephanie?Oh ya Ragin,Now why would you blame
me for what the other people wrote.C'mon you jackass i ain't the only one
here.Ooooooooh nooooooo buddy don't be throwing rocks at people with glass
houses.

Here we go again. Anti Journey, I think your real problem lies in being jealous
of Americans. Since it seems most of us are selfish mindless twits from America,
I wonder why you want to spend so much time here? Wherever you are from,
don't apply to your country's tourism board. I don't know what you hope to
accomplish here. You have made NOT ONE valid point in all your ramblings
and have never had a positive word to say about anyone. Yes, dogman has that
little disclaimer, and everyone is free to post whatever they want. Freedom
of speech..a little thing us arrogant Americans hold dear. Luckily most of
us also have self respect and respect toward others to counter the few such
as you.

Well, well, what have we here?? AlienC...you go! Well said! You know, it
doesn't matter HOW many negative Steve A. posts there are on this board or
any other ones, there are some of us that totally believe in him and will
NEVER turn our backs on Steve A. or the current line-up:) That's all I have
to say..for now:)

Anti-everything
Anti-Journey--you would serve your cause (whatever it may be) better if you
could actually make a point, dear. Read your message before you hit post--you
make no sense. And isn't it odd that RIP leaves and suddenly Antijourney
is back. Don't you both work for American companies? It doesn't matter though.
You can leave some negative comments here, but Steve A(wesome) is still the
lead singer with Journey & baby, can he sing. Neal is still fabulous
and has thousands, no millions, of fans who thank him for bringing back Journey.
Journey is still the best rock & roll band in the world. So bring it
on, Anti-everything! Let me turn up Arrival a little louder--can you hear
me now?

I figured you'd be back
Well, well, the dark forces are back. I knew you couldn't be trusted. Fortunately
for you I am not in the mood right now. I just read a post in the Back Talk
Forums in which a man is thanking Journey for dedicating We Will Meet Again
to his wife at the Syracuse show. She was to be at the show with him, but
she passed away just prior. Steve apparently gave a touching dedication.
The band and their music gave some comfort to this man. That puts things
in perspective. Your negativity is just meaningless in the face of things
that really matter. So you just execute your little plan, Anti-whoever &
RIP . . . . waiting patiently.

odd
I think it very odd you constantly attack those who respond to you...except
me! Wow, am I special or what? You know we think you are all jokes, not the
bad asses you want to think you are. You are in Detroit area? Cool. Anyone
know immigration's number there? Hiding behind a hotmail address. How pathetic.
It really IS asking too much for you to see the quality of people in and
associated with Journey.

this well deserved time off. I'm looking forward to the DVD and perhaps those
Nights With Journey Neal has mentioned. I think a fanclub only night would
be great. I know alot of people couldn't attend, probably not even me, but
it would be great.

Anti-forces
Well, aren't you active lately. Now let me see if I have this straight--RIP
& Anti-Journey are brothers who both work for American companies. Anti
lives outside of Detroit & may or may not have immigration problems (I
may be able to help you there,--what is your A#?) RIP went to all the trouble
of getting a hotmail account for the sole purpose of annoying people on a
music message board. So, RIP, I guess this means you will not be apologizing
to Steve & his family for all your rudeness? HA! You guys are like a
comedy routine. Who's on first? . . . . Now let's see what positivity I can
add--oh, I am including a showing of the DirecTV Vegas show in my holiday
activities. A friend of mine has a sort of elaborate home theater system
& we will be going there to have a little in-home concert to curb my
Journeyholic symptoms. Do you want to come, RIP & Antijourney?? RSVP,
please--hope it is not too short notice. I hope all the people on this board
(even the insane ones) have a happy & safe holiday--especially the man
of honor & his family, Steve A(wesome).

Prime Directive: Don't Feed the Trolls:-) I'm really surprised they haven't
discovered the Ultimate Trolling Grounds where the whole world can see them
and praise them for their cleverness. That place would be the USENET.

dreamed of in our Nightmares rule the Usenet. Have fun folks!

To: Barb! I admire your words!
Barb, I admire your integrity. I admire anyone who can counter the punches
that are being thrown your way on Matt's board. You are truly an amazing
and intelligent person. This board as well seems at times to be haunted by
those who just wish to ruffle feathers. I have been here before but each
time I am; someone accuses me of being another person or 2 or 3. I don't
like to debate issues over and over, beat a horse to death or check the pulse
on dying animals; but you admirably stand up and speak your mind without
hesitation or pause. I think I am just toooo sick of the endless battles
that are fought over and over again over issues that we as fans cannot resolve.
I see the humor, the sadness and the mediocrity in all the arguments that
exist on these boards. I have loved Perry's voice and Journey's music and
enjoy the vocals of Steve Augeri. I am just a total Journey fan. I do not
chose sides. Rants and raves by those on this board or others leave me cold.
I think in actuality that I've becomed more estranged from the music and
its pleasure because of the fires that flare up. But keep the faith, enjoy
the music and know that it's the music that really matters!
A Journey fan...who recalls Ivan and Pavlov at times!

Summer Nights--Syracuse
Latest Journey Is Satisfying Replacement Steve doesn't disappoint fans at
Grandstand Syracuse, NY Monday, August 27, 2001 By Mark Bialczak The singer
transplant has been successful for about a half-decade now
Journey
made a big rock splash for the 5,918 singing fans, and that didn't have a
thing to do with the first rainstorm of this year's fair, which began before
the San Francisco band ever took the stage. It had everything to do with
the voice of lead singer Steve Augeri. Once upon a time, Steve Perry was
the guy whose vocals made Journey go. But the strain of touring (and a solo
career) got to be too much for that star. So when the other guys in Journey
decided to get back together to tour in 1996, they picked somebody to replace
Perry. In the Brooklyn-born Augeri, they selected a singer who can out-Perry
the original Steve. Augeri's great enough to make the old Journey hits, of
which there are plenty, sound as engaging as they did when the originals
were hitting the charts starting in 1979 and lasting until 1987. He proved
that with the opener, the band's second hit, "Any Way You Want It." Augeri's
stage charisma kicked in, too, and pretty soon, you didn't want to close
your eyes and pretend it was Perry out there. The band's really good now
with Augeri leading the way, and that seemed to be more than enough for its
Central New York fans. By the two-song encore of "Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)"
and "Lovin', Touchin', Squeezin'," there was just one Steve on everybody's
mind, and it sure wasn't Perry.

Summer Nights--Cleveland
Review from Harmody.com 4/4/2001 So I was definitely bummed at the
loss of Perry, but very quickly became happy when I heard that the band was
going to carry on with a new lead singer in Steve Augeri. At the same time,
I was definitely a bit skeptical, but this was Journey, I was willing to
give it a chance. ..All of my skepticism was very quickly erased when the
band hit the stage here in Cleveland, and as soon as Augeri opened his mouth,
I was convinced.
.Musically, what can I say. I don't want to single
out Augeri (though he sings his ass off on this record), because the entire
band sounds incredible on this album. While it was a tune that I did not
like initially, it is apparent now why Higher Place is the first single for
rock radio in the U.S. Higher Place absolutely stomps and is loaded with
grooves and riffing that bury themselves inside your head, much like a terrorist
locked in a building with hostages, and they ain't coming out.

Summer Nights--Daytona Beach
Frampton and Journey: Rock still feels like they do Review by RICK de YAMPERT
(rick.deyampert@news-jrnl.com) Entertainment Writer DAYTONA BEACH
Oddly, the current Journey both proved the accuracy of that
"corporate rock" tag, and belied it. The band proved the accuracy of that
tag because current singer Steve Augeri has replaced longtime singer Steve
Perry, and yet the band still wheeled out the assembly line of all the old
hits, as if one defective machine part merely had been replaced by a shiny,
working new one. ..Ultimately Journey rose above the snide "corp rock" label.
With Augeri sounding like a Perry doppelganger, and with founding guitarist
Neal Schon, founding bassist Ross Valory and longtime keyboardist Jonathan
Cain still on board, Journey faithfully juiced such early '80s hits as "Don't
Stop Believing," "Any Way You Want It," "Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)" and
"Faithfully" (the latter, a dreamy love ballad, drew the cig-lighter tribute).
..Corp rock or not, Journey electrified their love tunes with a couple of
weapons that the 'N Syncs of the world lack: the crackerjack, piercing, melodic
guitar work of Schon and the wailing of Augeri. "

The Army's here :o)
Wow! Cj, you ain't kiddin' about the full moon......Well the Army's here
now! And AlienC, it's good you've come! Cheez wiz anyone? ;o) LAWoman, I
had talked to Steve on Saturday in Wilmington about WWMA, but didn't know
the story. In his own quiet way, he just said they were going to do it as
a special request. But then that's Steve. It was great to hear the song practiced
during the sound check, it was the one song I really wanted to hear live
during this tour. It had to be even more special that night in Syracuse.
Wonder if the new poster couldn't be this a new Perry fanatic that's suddenly
showed up at BT? And obviously come from the VH-1 board....... believe the
screen name ends with "...........andperry".......... Wish I could make it
to one of the last shows! But with all the kids in school and a new job ain't
happening. Oh well, let's hope there will be an "evening with Journey" and
I'll save up for that! Maybe Steve can do a couple of Tall Stories songs
too, know it would make a bunch of folks happy especially my two oldest teens
who love the cd so much! A quiet weekend on the beach in VA, went swimming
and didn't worry about shark attacks.......guess the sharks were here ;o)
As always,

Thanks, Steve A.!
I think my post didn't make it, so I'm going to try this again. Thanks, Steve
A. for having the guts to step up to the plate and be the new singer for
Journey! It's a tough act to follow, for sure, but you're doing it WELL!
Thanks for pitching in and helping out when they needed you. The tour is
great, and I've see you guys twice this summer. Great shows both times! Looking
forward to Journey's future work on new releases and tours. Thanks again!

You come to Praise Steve; not Bury Him!
This board is to praise Steve Augeri, not bury him inside a private forum!
Just ignore those ugly post and trolls. They go away when they are not fed
and nourished! If you stay away then he wins! It's his way of controlling
and manipulating everyone and everything he can. Do not play the game and
it will not work. He is the loser. Just keep posting the positive stuff,
bury HIM not Steve. I want to be able to pull this site up and see GOOD things
and read all the post especially Lydia's and Steve's post. I am just a casual
fan; but to hide in a forum does not seem to promote Steve A's work; it just
hides it from the general public.
Casual but otherwise devoted Perry and Journey Fan
