I also will continue to add content, such as
(click -->) Stan Arlton's 33-digit mathemagic.
Back issues of REC on paper are available, albeit in limited supply. Most of the REC web pages here have been preserved for those interested in back issues, or who are merely curious.
Please e-mail me if interested.

Want Mathemagical & Computer Recreations? Programming? Challenges? Graphics? Fun?
(*There's more, but you have to read it below!)
Did you know that there is a print publication devoted to the interplay of computer recreations & 'mathemagic'?
REC (Recreational &
Educational Computing) has been published continuously since January
1986! Themes:
"mathemagic", puzzles & teasers, programming (mostly QuickBASIC), math
(most branches & levels), articles & letters,
fractals & other graphics, challenges, recreation, reviews,
word-play, humor, PC tips, solutions, and Mathemagical
Black Holes (attractors).
The main activity is fascinating challenges, often of a mathematical nature, in
which computer assistance either solves the problem or sheds insight. For a
larger article that captures some of this flavor, click on the article
Mathemagical Black
Holes.
REC is edited and published by Dr. Mike
Ecker. Throughout the
1980s, Mike had his "Recreational Computing" columns in Popular Computing,
Creative Computing, Byte, Algorithm, etc. You may have seen
those or read his reviews in Computer Shopper, Government Computer
News, PC Clones, and/ or other mags during this period.
REC is a newsletter/ magazine with programs, for which there's an optional PC disk supplemental to the magazine. All back issues
of REC and/ or disks are available separately. Here are some typical
activities from past years:
A QuickBASIC program in REC with just 5 lines of mathemagical code produced this:

(QuickBASIC or QBASIC is supplied to subscribers free upon request.)
Also: Etch-A-Sketch, Starbursts (below), and more!
