Sigua
Waterfalls
Trip Location: Central Guam Difficulty Level: Easy to Intermediate. Time of trip: 4-5 hours.
There are two waterfalls one is called the Upper Sigua which is a more difficult hike than the Lower Sigua Waterfall.
There are two ways of getting to the falls. You can either mountain bike in most of the way and then hike the last leg or you can hike in the entire way. It is not a very long hike and the trail is quite well marked.
The lower Sigua falls are more visible from the top of the hill and the hike down to the falls is along a steep downhill terrain but there are ropes to help you descend into and ascend out of the ravine in which the falls lie.
On the right is a view of the lower Sigua falls. This a popular place for people to spend a weekend afternoon swimming in the pool and jumping off the various terraces of the falls into the pool below.
Another fun thing to do is to go around to the top of the falls and rappel down the side of the waterfall.
