I am a 40 year old male that resides in Cleveland,Tennessee. I am divorced and have a great 16 year old son. I recently worked for Duracell, USA as a maintenance mechanic for 21 years. My main interest for the last 7 years has been martial arts, which is something that I have wanted to do since I was a child. So soon after my divorce, I sought an instructor and began studying Tang Soo Do, a Korean martial art. Tang Soo Do can be translated as meaning "Way of the China hand" or most commonly known as "Art of the Knife hand". Soon after, my son also began to study also from my instructor. In April, 1994, I received my 1st Degree black belt. Also that same year, my instructor turned the school over to me and another student because of personal problems rather than closing it. It is a small school, but something I really enjoy doing, passing on what knowledge I do have to others that want to learn. In 1996, I received my 2nd Degree black belt and became an independent branch school instructor with the World Black Belt Bureau. In October of 1996, my son received his 1st Degree black belt. He has been a real big help in teaching at the school also, especially the kid classes. I am also a member of a group of people that have come to know each other online and created MAMDC (Martial Arts Multi-Discipline Conference) and started getting together in person to socialize and learn about each others art that they study. If you would like to know more about this group, check out The MAMDC Page. You can check out photos of myself and friends at Terry's Photo Album. Remember to sign my guestbook.
